Walking trips with overnight stays in mountain refuge.

With a good local network of mountain refuge's, I have put together 2 treks. Both of which take you through some of the more remote areas of the beautiful High Ariege mountains:

Refuge du Ruhle

The first two nights in the same refuge with a day tour taking in some of the most stunning and hidden parts of Andorra. This trip makes the most the road access as we start waking from 1800m. Threes days of medium grade walking taking in lakes, summits and comfortable ridge walking.

Camporells and D'en Beys

The second, a more challenging three days. You will be rewarded by some breathtaking scenery as we leave the Ariege over the Portelle d'Orlu, then spending the night surrounded by lakes in the Campels. From there we cross back into the Upper Valley of Orlu spending the night beside the Lake D'Embeys. The third day we complete the loop with the remote passage through the high mountain pastures of Parau.
