HORSE RIDING
If the mountain and riding horse are your passions, then don't
hesitate to come and explore The valleys of Ax on the back of
a Mérens! The Haras of Bésines offers you everything
from a gentile walk for beginner riders to day rides for the more
experienced:
- The one hour walk, ideal for the beginners, takes you along
the river, with the shelter from the sun under the protection
of woods. This walk takes in the lake and chateaux of Orgeix.
-There is also a 2 hours walk, this takes you along the river
Oriège, accessible to all and which involves you walking
along the part of the river beyond Orlu, giving stunning views
of the mountain ranges above the Orlu valley.
-For more adventurous a half-day walk, to the Col
of Osque, accessible to the experienced riders! You will find there
great views through the mountain with a decent on the southern side
of the valley of Orlu, attention, those of you who are not so good
with heights, close the eyes!
The stud farm of Bésines also offers theme
walks once or twice a month, one of which is the walk of the goats,
during which you stop to visit a cheese dairy to taste the delicious
goat's milk cheeses fresh!
